The Gold Standard

When you think of Pittsburgh and gold, it’s usually the Steelers’ iconic team colors that come to mind. But this time, we’re talking about the real deal: shiny, precious metals. While the northeastern U.S. may have missed out on the original gold rush, 31-year-old lifelong Pittsburgh resident, Jared Jurich, is bringing a new kind of gold rush to the 412. By blending precious metal offerings with tax services, his team has reinvented the traditional tax firm, turning it into an exciting, one-of-a-kind venture.

Jurich’s journey began after years of working traditional 9-to-5 jobs. With a degree in Business Technology, he decided it was time for a change.

“I’ve always wanted to command my own ship—creating something meaningful and contributing to my local community has always been a passion of mine,” Jurich shares.

On February 1, 2023, Boulevard Tax & Gold launched in Castle Shannon and became a true one-stop shop for wealth-oriented services. Drawing from their tax expertise, Jurich and his team have expanded beyond tax prep to include small business bookkeeping, payroll, and, of course, the star of the show: gold. Whether it’s personal filings  or business accounts, Boulevard Tax & Gold has clients covered—with a little extra shine!

But how does gold fit into a tax business? According to Jurich, the integration of gold was a “meaningful extension of services.”

“Gold isn’t just a commodity; historical data suggests it’s an asset that is not only reliable, but should continue to appreciate over time,” he explained. “Although frequently overlooked, it doesn’t require maintenance and can be a practical way to hedge wealth.”

Jurich’s passion for gold, silver, and other precious metals was a key factor in shaping this unique business model.

“My brother and I have been involved in bullion and mints for years. Integrating precious metals into the business felt like a natural progression,” he said. Now, he foresees offering a range of metals services, acting as an intermediary between buyers and sellers to ensure authenticity and minimize total costs.

His commitment is clear–Boulevard Tax & Gold offers tax services tailored to every particular situation. As a businessman and son of a retired city police officer, Jurich has a deep and personal understanding of the unique budgetary challenges faced by those in service and business roles. He holds an affinity for first responders and wants to help other local business owners.

“Taxes are complex and ever-changing, but Boulevard Tax & Gold is here to provide assistance and understanding to maximize our clients’ tax benefits,” Jurich explained. “We never push gold on clients solely seeking tax services, but if they’re interested, we’re always happy to provide guidance.” He added. “Ultimately, bringing good service back to a local level was important to us. We treat clients as we would our family.”

Boulevard Tax & Gold is open year-round and ready to meet your accounting needs at a moment’s notice, with extended office hours during tax season. Located at 1011 Castle Shannon Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15234. boulevardtax.com
