Strawberry Basil Smash

Sweet, aromatic, and a little daring—this isn’t your average spring cocktail. With juicy berries, fragrant basil, and a bold splash of bourbon, the Strawberry Basil Smash delivers a garden party punch with a ginger beer kick. It’s the kind of drink that feels like golden hour in a glass: unexpected, refreshing, and impossible to stop sipping.

Ingredients:

  • 3 strawberries, hulled
  • 3 – 4 basil leaves
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 2 ounces ginger beer

Preparation:

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries and basil. Use a wood muddler or the end of a wooden spoon to mash everything well.

Add the bourbon and lemon juice, secure the lid and shake very well.

Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into an ice-filled cocktail glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a strawberry slice and basil leaf.
